This CSA-certified, commercial-grade Rectangular Flat Fire Pit Insert with Torpedo H-Burner and Electronic Ignition by HPC Fire is engineered to provide a safe, reliable flame, with automatic safety shut-off and relight. For added convenience, control can range from a simple wall switch to smart home systems and mobile app controls.
The Torpedo H-burner features two parallel flames, creating a wide flame footprint ideal for rectangular fire pits that require a broader burn area. While the pan width increases across the range, it does not scale with every step in length.
Ideal for custom-built rectangular fire pit structures that need a seamless look, with the pan and burner completely hidden from view. With no stainless steel on show, it suits both clean, modern lines and the look of a traditional fire pit. This approach requires thoughtful design at the planning stage to ensure the pan has proper built-in support within the structure, as well as containment for the fire media.

There is a range of sizes and a variety of options to ensure that you end up with the ideal fire pit kit for your setup.
Select Size
Available in eight sizes: 27″ x 15″, 33″ x 15″, 39″ x 17″, 45″ x 17″, 57″ x 19″, 69″ x 19″, 81″ x 19″, and 93″ x 19″.
Select Gas Type
Choose Natural Gas or Propane (gas types are not interchangeable).
HPC recommends that installation be carried out by a locally licensed gas-piping professional.
Not suitable for standard 20 lb propane tanks; permanent hardlines only.
Select Ignition
Choose between an On/Off system, which provides a flexible base setup that pairs with your choice of external controls (sold separately) or smart home integration, or a Hi/Lo system for complete out-of-the-box flame adjustment using the included smart remote and Bluetooth app. Both options are available in standard 120VAC line voltage or low-voltage (24VAC / 12VAC) configurations.
A wall switch or inline power control, such as an emergency stop button, is required on the circuit for safety shutoff. All control accessories are linked at the bottom of the page.
Ignition Type: On/Off
Flame height is not user-adjustable. A trim valve beneath the pan can be set during installation to define the maximum flame height.
Operation: Via wall switch, timer, or remote control (sold separately), and can be integrated with a compatible smart home system.
Ignition Type: Hi/Lo
A handheld Smart Remote is included, providing flame height adjustment with High and Low settings (Low reduces flame height by up to 45%). The remote also receives system status feedback from the fire pit via LED indicators.
This model can also be controlled using the HPC Fire Bluetooth App, with a reliable connection to Apple and Android devices within approximately 20 feet of the antenna.
The HPC App includes a timer, diagnostic troubleshooting codes, parental controls, and additional system features.
Operation: Via the hi/lo remote control or the Bluetooth App; both are included.
Voltage
- 120VAC: Plugs into standard household power using a three-prong plug for a GFCI-protected outlet.
- 12VAC or 24VAC: For low-voltage installations (e.g., poolside). Hardwire to a transformer (sold separately) installed in a protected location at a safe distance from water.
