1/2 Inch Azuria Reflective Fire Glass not only works well outdoors but can also be used indoors in gas fireplaces.

If you have a large fire pit or fireplace, we recommend the 1/2″ size glass, which will not be overwhelmed by the size of the fire feature. For small fire features you may prefer the 1/4″ Azuria Fire Reflective Glass

How Much Fire Glass Do I Need?

Follow the link to our Fire Glass Calculator at the bottom of this page. You will need the measurements of your fire pit or pan and input the data into the calculator. The results will provide you with the quantity of glass you require. There are instructions to guide you!

Filling the entire fire pit with expensive fire glass is not mandatory. A filler such as lava rock can be used to keep costs down. We recommend small-sized lava rock for natural gas applications and medium-sized lava rock for propane. The lava rock forms a base layer within the fire pit up to either level with or just above the burner. The fire glass sits on top of the lava rock.

Lava rock is much lighter than glass per cubic inch. 10 lbs of lava rock will provide approximately double the coverage of 10 lbs of fire glass.
