Rectangular Glass Fire Pit Wind Guard – The Outdoor Plus
Wind Guards, also known as Fire Pit Flame Guards are the most popular fire pit accessory. From a functional point of view, they work very well, keeping the flame centralized in breezy conditions, allowing you to safely and comfortably use your fire pit in conditions that ordinarily prevent it.
They may also be considered a fire pit safety feature as they provide a barrier to the flames, appealing to parents, especially those with young children. It also reduces the chances of items being blown in during use or drinks being knocked over into the flames.

What size Wind Guard do I need?
- It is important to know that Fire Pit Wind Guards must be placed on the structure’s surface, not within the burn area.
- The Outdoor Plus recommends that its Wind Guards be a minimum of 4 inches larger than the overall width and length of the burn area of your fire pit (2 inches on all sides).
- The 2-inch gap on all sides also provides the space necessary for a fire pit lid.
