This 70″ x 24″ Rectangular HPC Gas Tank Series fire pit enclosure, built to an elevated 23.5″ height to house a standard 20 lb liquid propane cylinder internally, delivers a fully assembled unfinished structural shell that serves as a blank canvas for tile, paint, or stone cladding. By supplying the housing frame, factory-installed Hardie Board substrate, ventilation, 13.5″ x 17.5″ stainless steel access hatch panel, and certified gas components, this unit removes construction guesswork so you can move straight to applying the final finish.
Each unit includes a fully assembled, factory-tested, CSA-certified burner insert. This 70″ model is available with either Rectangular or Trough Inserts with match-lit or push-button flame-sensing ignition options. Custom shapes and tailored dimensions are also available upon request. If your project calls for a larger footprint, see our 80 x 24 propane tank access model. You can also explore our full ready-to-finish enclosure selection to compare all available shapes and sizes.
Options
Select Pan
There are two pan options for this 70 Inch rectangular gas tank series model:
36″ x 14″ Rectangular Pan with H-Burner
Fitted with a Torpedo H-Burner, this pan utilizes two parallel burner legs to produce a deep, double-width flame profile. The outer rim sits upon the upper finished surface, framing the burn area.

36″ x 8″ Trough with T-Burner
This narrower Trough style pan features a single-leg, linear Torpedo T-Burner to create a long, streamlined flame profile. The outer rim sits upon the upper finished surface, framing the burn area.

Select Ignition
HPC keeps ignition options focused and practical, with two systems to suit different installation requirements.
Match Lit – CSA Certified
A simple, manual system operated using a key valve. The burner is lit with a long match or lighter, with flame adjustment controlled at the valve.

Push Button Ignition – CSA Certified
Battery-powered ignition using a spark probe and control panel. Includes flame-sensing technology that automatically shuts off the gas supply if the flame is extinguished.
A practical option where added safety is required, but mains power is not available. The flame height can be adjusted using the knob on the control panel.
