1/2 Inch Gold Reflective Fire Glass by American Fire Products turns the fire bed into a glow of warm amber-gold. The mirrored facets catch and scatter the firelight for a rich, luxurious look in fireplaces and fire pits alike.
The 1/2″ size suits larger fire pits and is typically recommended for indoor fireplaces running on natural gas, as the bigger pieces leave more air pockets and create less back pressure on the gas. It is also the better choice for outdoor propane features: propane is heavier than air, and the extra space helps it rise and disperse. The exception is a burner with nozzles designed to stay uncovered, where the glass size doesn’t affect the gas flow. A finer 1/4 Inch Gold Reflective Fire Glass is also available, popular for smaller fire features.
