The Black & White Fire Pit Collection from The Outdoor Plus is a fusion of crisp, modern lines and a bold color contrast that can complement a range of outdoor design styles, from minimalist to classic. The Moonstone Fire Pit is metal with a powder-coat finish in black & white; it comes in 4 different sizes, ranging from 60″ to 96″ long.
There are 5 Ignition options ranging from Match Lit to Electronic Ignition and 2 Gas options: Natural Gas or Propane.
The Outdoor Plus manufactures all products in the USA, and as with most of its products, the Moonstone Fire Pit is made-to-order. The manufacturing period is approximately 2 to 3 weeks.
Options
Gas Type
Available for use with Natural Gas and Propane. Be sure to select the correct gas type as the Natural Gas setup cannot be used with Propane and vice versa.
Size
The Moonstone Fire Pit is available in 4 lengths: 60″, 72″, 84″, and 96″. The Fire Pit stands 16″ high and 30″ wide, regardless of its length.
As the length of the fire pit increases, so does the burn area, the length of the burner, and its BTU rating. See below for details.
Ignition
There are 5 different options:
Match Lit (LC Certified up to 65,000 BTUs)
The Match Lit system utilizes the chrome key valve installed on the fire pit structure to light the burner. Turn the key to the on position and light the gas with a match, taper, or lighter. The flame can be adjusted and turned off using the key valve.
Match Lit with Flame Sensing (LC Certified)
These systems operate in the same manner as the standard Match Lit systems. However, they also incorporate technology that monitors the flame. If the flame were to extinguish accidentally, the gas supply would be shut off. This in-built safety action prevents the build-up of a potentially dangerous gas cloud.
Spark Ignition with Flame Sensing
Spark Ignition systems utilize battery power to provide a push-button ignition of the flame via a control panel on the fire pit. This unit also incorporates Flame Sensing technology, which will automatically turn off the gas supply if the flame accidentally extinguishes.
Electronic Ignition – Plug & Play (CSA Certified)
Standard Voltage (110 Volt) Electronic Ignition systems can be used with fire pits anywhere that power can be installed, except close to water (see Low Voltage below). The Electronic Ignition has Flame Sensing, but in addition, it will automatically attempt to relight if the flame is blown out.
The Units can be wired up to a standard light switch, a dial timer or an emergency stop button, and a smart house system. An upgrade to include a Remote Control system is available.
Electronic Ignition – Low Voltage (CSA Certified)
Low-voltage electronic ignition systems are perfect for fire features near water, and are ideal to use with fire pits for pools. The Electronic Ignition system has Flame Sensing that will automatically relight if the flame is blown out.
The Units can be wired up to an on/off switch, a timer, a remote control, a pool controller, or a smart house system. Hand-held remote-controlled upgrades are available.
Components
Both the pan and burner are made from high-quality .304 Stainless Steel.
As the length of the fire pit increases, so does the length of the burner and its BTU rating.
- The 60″ Fire Pit has a burn area of 30″ x 10″ with a 24″ Burner and a BTU rating of 40,000
- The 72″ Fire Pit has a burn area of 48″ x 10″ with a 36″ Burner and a BTU rating of 60,000
- The 84″ Fire Pit has a burn area of 54″ x 10″ with a 48″ Burner and a BTU rating of 80,000
- The 96″ Fire Pit has a burn area of 66″ x 10″ with a 60″ Burner and a BTU rating of 100,000
Bullet Burner Upgrade
The Standard Burner can be upgraded to a Bullet Burner, which produces approximately twice the flame height of an equivalently rated Standard Burner.

Concealed Gas Storage
The Moonstone Fire Pit has concealed gas bottle capability with an access door at one end.
The horizontal gas tank is not included.

- Electronics, Gas Valve, & Pilot Assembly: Commercial – 6 months; Residential – 1 year.
- Stainless Steel Pan, Fire Ring, & Valve Box: Commercial – 1 year; Residential – 3 years.
