Sizes and BTU Ratings

The HPC Round Flat Fire Pit Kit with Push Button Ignition is available in three sizes; 18″, 24″, and 30″.

The actual diameter of the pan is 0.25 inches smaller than the listed size. For example, an 18-inch pan has a real-life diameter of 17.75 inches. You can view the pan spec drawings in the PDF linked at the bottom of the page.

• The 18″ Insert has a 12″ Penta Burner with a BTU rating of 65,000 
• The 24″ Insert has an 18″ Penta Burner with a BTU rating of 125,000 
• The 30″ Insert has a 24″ Penta Burner with a BTU rating of 200,000 

What is a Non-Certified Fire Pit Kit?

CSA-certified fire features have BTU limits established by the CSA Certification Standard, which vary based on the type of ignition system used. Uncertified equipment is not bound by these restrictions, however, manufacturers may limit the range of the size options available for specific ignition systems.

This means that an HPC uncertified kit could potentially have a higher BTU rating than its CSA-certified counterpart, resulting in a larger, hotter flame while still being safe and family-friendly. However, the kits are only available for use with natural gas, and in the case of this HPC Round Flat Fire Pit Kit with Push Button Ignition, 3 sizes.
