If you are building a round outdoor gas fire feature, this American Fireglass Round Flat Fire Pit Kit with AWEIS (All Weather Electronic Ignition System) provides a complete solution for a recessed installation, where the pan sits below the finished surface and is concealed by fire media.
Designed for custom-built fire pits, the flat pan supports the stainless steel burner, pilot assembly, and AWEIS valve box mounted beneath, creating a stable and serviceable installation.
This kit allows you to operate your fire feature at the flick of a switch or press of a button.

AWEIS Electronic Ignition System
The AWEIS system is specifically designed for outdoor fire features, delivering reliable ignition and continuous flame monitoring.
Using hot-surface ignition with an intermittent pilot sequence, the system detects the presence of flame at all times. If the flame is lost, it will automatically attempt re-ignition. If unsuccessful, the gas supply is shut off as a safety precaution.
The system can be wired to a wall switch or paired with a remote control (optional), allowing simple on/off operation. A manual gas shut-off valve should always be installed upstream and turned off when the unit is not in use.
Round Flat Pan and Burner Construction
Each kit includes a round flat pan and a ring burner, both constructed from 100% 304 stainless steel for durability in outdoor environments.
The flat pan design is ideal for custom fire pit builds, creating a neat, recessed platform for fire media and is completely hidden from sight.

Round Flat Fire Pit Kits are available in 12″, 18″, 24″, 30″, and 36″ diameters.
30″ and 36″ models offer a choice of an 18″ standard capacity burner or a larger high capacity burner that better suits the pan size, with significantly higher BTU output and requiring careful consideration of gas supply.
All sizes are available in Natural Gas or Propane (whole house).

Installation Considerations
These kits are designed for outdoor, vented fire features only.
Before selecting your size:
- Confirm available gas supply and BTU capacity
- Ensure proper ventilation, minimum 18 square inches on two opposing sides
- Allow at least 1 cubic foot of space beneath the pan for ignition components
- Include adequate drainage to prevent water accumulation
Installation by a certified NFI professional is strongly recommended.
