The Roma Fire Pit Bowl is manufactured by The Outdoor Plus Company at their facility in California. The company is rightly proud of its Made In America status.
The Roma embodies Romanesque styling, and is the most elaborate fire bowl design in The Outdoor Plus range. It will certainly impress your guests by creating a beautiful centerpiece for your outdoor entertainment area.
Every bowl is handcrafted from color-matched GFRC (Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete). The color is cast throughout the concrete, so will not chip or peel off.
Manufacturing a Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete Fire Bowl results in a much lighter, but more robust product than standard concrete. Glass fibers set into the concrete prevent distortion, cracking, and rust.

Ignition
Match Lit
The Match Lit system requires a gas valve (not included) such as a chrome key valve to be installed, within arms reach of the fire bowl, to light the burner.
Then you simply turn the key to the on position and light the gas with a match, taper, or lighter. The flame can be adjusted and turned off using the key valve.
12VAC Electronic Ignition – Low Voltage (CSA Certified)
Low-voltage Electronic Ignition systems should be utilized when the installation is close to water features, fountains, etc., and is ideal to use with a fire pits for pools.
The Electronic Ignition system also has Flame Sensing that will also automatically relight if the flame is blown out.
The Units can be wired up to an on/off switch, a timer, remote control, pool controller, or smart house system. An upgrade which includes a Bluetooth system is available. It is both Android and Apple iOS compatible.
Additional Options & Upgrades
Key Valve Installation
Key Valves (not included with fire bowl) are not only used to manually light your burner but also control its flame height. A key valve should be installed somewhere convenient on a fire bowl’s support structure or pedestal, in close proximity to the burner.
Depending on how and where you locate your fire bowl you may prefer that a key valve be installed onto the fire bowl itself.
With electronic fire bowls, you can wire the electronic system to a light switch, add a remote control, or Bluetooth app to light your fire pit, however, a key valve still provides you with the ability to control the flame height of your burner and shut off gas to the burner manually.

Upgrade to Bullet Burner
The Standard Burners can be upgraded to Bullet Burners which produce approximately twice the flame height of an equivalently rated Standard Burner.

Gas Type
Be sure to select the correct gas type as the Natural Gas setup cannot be used with Propane and vice a versa.
Color
Choosing the color
Because a GFRC fire bowl is made to order, there will be slight variations in each order’s final color and texture.
Once you have selected your color, we recommend that you request a sample of your color choice for your final approval. Each of The Outdoor Plus Company’s fire pits is made to order; therefore, all sales are final.

We strongly recommend that the Fire bowl is wired in by a qualified electrician.
Installation Diagrams
The diagrams below show installation for the match lit and the electronic ignition. The Flame Sense Options require that the control valve box be mounted into the pedestal or wall upon which the round fire pit bowl is sitting.
