The Luna Fire Bowl is designed to sit atop a pedestal or similar structure, making it well-suited to more architectural outdoor layouts. Unlike the Luna Fire Pit, which is built as a freestanding unit and often used as a central focal point, the Fire Bowl is more commonly used as a feature element within a wider design, ideal for adding balance, symmetry, or subtle visual accents across a space. A larger 38-inch version is also available for more expansive layouts.
The key valve is not installed on the face of the Bowl, allowing it to be positioned separately within the supporting structure if desired. This provides a cleaner overall appearance and greater freedom when planning the installation. A face-mounted key valve can be specified as an optional extra if preferred.
The Bowl is supplied with a mounting bracket, which creates the necessary clearance beneath the unit to allow for proper airflow during operation and safe installation.
With its smooth, symmetrical form and full half-moon profile, the Luna design introduces a refined, sculptural presence to outdoor settings. Its soft, curved silhouette works across both modern and transitional spaces, creating a natural focal point within a layout.
The Luna Fire Bowl forms part of a wider range of coordinated fire and water features within the collection, offering flexibility when designing a cohesive outdoor scheme. For those looking for a freestanding alternative with integrated controls, view the Luna Fire Pit.

GFRC Concrete Construction
Constructed from Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete (GFRC), the Luna Fire Bowl offers a balance of durability and reduced weight compared to traditional concrete. Each unit is pigment-infused, meaning the colour runs throughout the material rather than sitting on the surface, helping to minimise the appearance of wear over time.
The inclusion of glass fibres strengthens the structure while keeping the overall weight manageable, making installation easier without compromising long-term performance.
Options
Gas Type
Be sure to select the correct gas type, as the Natural Gas setup cannot be used with Propane and vice versa.
Burners
There are two burner options: a Standard Burner or a Bullet Burner, which produces approximately twice the flame height. For more information on Bullet Burners, use the link to see details.
Ignition
Match Lit (LC Certified)
The Match Lit system requires a separately installed gas valve (not included), such as a chrome key valve, positioned within arm’s reach of the fire bowl.
To ignite, turn the key to the ON position and light the burner with a match, taper, or lighter. You can use the same key valve to adjust the flame or turn it off when you’re done.

Electronic Ignition – Low Voltage (CSA Certified)
Low-voltage electronic ignition systems are perfect for fire features near water, and are ideal to use with fire pits for pools. The Electronic Ignition system will automatically relight if the flame is blown out.
If relighting is unsuccessful, the system shuts off the gas supply.
The Units can be wired up to an on/off switch, a timer, a remote control, a pool controller, or a smart house system. Hand-held remote-controlled upgrades are available.

Key Valve Installation
Key valves are used to manually light the burner and adjust flame height. They are typically installed on the fire bowl’s supporting structure or pedestal, positioned conveniently near the burner.
If preferred, a key valve can also be installed on the fire bowl itself.
For electronic ignition systems, operation can be controlled via a switch, remote, or app; however, a key valve still allows manual flame adjustment and gas shut-off.
A factory-installed key valve is available as an optional extra; please see the Factory-Installed Key Valve page for details and pricing.
